St. Ursula's School serves the parishes of St. Dominics and Holy Redeemer, Harold Hill and Christ the Eternal High Priest, Gidea Park. We are a popular and oversubscribed school and our Governing Body follow a strict Admissions Criteria in order to allocate places fairly and in accordance with our statutory obligations.
Each year there is a National deadline set for applications for Admission to Reception Year Group. The current deadline for admission to Reception Year Group in September 2017 is 15th January 2017. All children who will be 4 years old between the dates of 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 are eligible to apply for Reception 2017 places.
We also have a 60 place Nursery class offering daily 3 hour sessions either morning or afternoon. Application for Nursery places is made directly to the school in the Spring Term before entry to Nursery. All children who will be 3 years old between the dates of 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 are eligible to apply for Nursery 2017 places. Application forms for Nursery September 2017 will be available to collect at the New Parents meeting, to be held in October. If you would like to register an interest in a Nursery place you can do so by contacting the school office.
On this page we have included documentation and links which should assist you with the admissions process but please feel free to contact us directly at the school should you have any queries. You are not required to apply to the local authority for a Nursery place.
Please be aware that, although your Local Authority Reception application is made online, you must return your supplementary information forms directly to the school along with all relevant supporting documentation; Birth/Baptismal Certificates, proof of address etc.
In accordance with the School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012 St Ursula’s Catholic Infant School are required to consult on changes that are proposed to its admission arrangements for the 2017/18 academic year.
As required by the 2014 School Admissions Code, the school consulted for a 6 week period (December 21st 2015 – 31st January 2015).
The consultation process was to allow parents, other schools, the local community and other interested parties to raise any concerns about the proposed admission arrangements.
